Square Enix’s latest Final Fantasy spinoff, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, may be coming with a significant download size. Here’s what you need to know.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a new version of the original Final Fantasy. Developed by Team Ninja, this latest adventure aims to bring a more mature and challenging experience to the iconic JRPG.
Players take on the role of Jack Garland, a man bent on destroying Chaos, as the many memes will tell you. Joined by a few companions, the group travels to discover their roles as Warriors of Light.
Those who pre-ordered the game enjoyed a 72-hour early access period. For the rest, the game officially launches on March 18. According to the Twitter account @PlaystationSizethe game has quite a large download size.
The Twitter account, which is dedicated to finding out file sizes for upcoming PlayStation games, revealed that the download size of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is 71.505 GB. This is for PlayStation 5 and without a Day One patch. .
Although the size is only for the PS5, it is very likely that we can expect a similar size for the PS4 and Xbox consoles.

Such a large download is not unheard of for Final Fantasy games. These RPGs have traditionally been larger, with Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade reaching just over 80GB itself.
Either way, those who enjoy larger games will likely need to free up some space in their system to comfortably fit Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.
The game is available now as part of the three-day early access period and will officially launch on March 18 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.
